What can i do with a degree in statistics? at end of 2nd year college,and interested in majoring in stats.mayb?

I just dont want a pointless degree. Statistics are fascinating. I"ve taken a few courses and couldnt get enough of it. (although, i would like to see more proof of some of those equations). Anyway, besides just being interesting what kind of career coudl a statistician look forward to... any info would help, if it's a personal story....not a wikipedia link please.
